$2.5M gas line project announced

The Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industry awarded MMCEDA a $2.5 million Utility Infrastructure Grant to construct a natural gas line between Peterman and Beatrice. The project will expand existing service and provide access to natural gas for industries including Scotch Plywood, Monroe Sausage, and others, along with J.F. Shields High School and area residents.
